Portjengrat / Pizzo d’Andolla

From the Almagellerhütte follow the white-blue-white markings towards Sonnigpass. Immediately before the Portjengratsee turn left and follow the yellow markings to the south ridge (big yellow arrow). Climb over the south ridge to the summit. The descent leads over snow fields and scree slopes back to the hut.

Lago Maggiore Grat

From the Almagellerhütte follow the white-blue-white markings to Sonnigpass. Climb down the Via Ferrata del Lago. Above the bivouac “Citta di Varese CAI” climb the eastern ridge. The descent leads either back to the Almagellerhütte or over the moraine down to the Almagelleralp.

Sonnighorn / Pizzo Bottarello

From the Almagellerhütte follow the white-blue-white markings to Sonnigpass. Then climb the north-east ridge to the summit.

Height difference: 593m

Time: 4-5h

Mittelrück / Pizzo di Loranco

From the Almagellerhütte follow the white-blue-white markings to Sonnigpass. Then climb the south ridge to the summit. Another ascent leads over the north ridge to the summit.

Height difference: 468m
